Overview

I spent a week observing 90+ patients during their psychiatric sessions and interviewed their doctors to understand common struggles in mental health care. Now, I’m researching how technology (like apps or AI tools) can help solve these problems.

The Problem

Patients Faced:

  1. No one to talk to daily about their struggles.

  2. Forgot to take medications or attend follow-up appointments.

  3. Lost handouts (e.g., yoga guides, consultation forms).

  4. Gained weight due to medication side effects.

Doctors Faced:

  1. Paper-based records (no digital system).

  2. Relied on memory to track patient follow-ups.

  3. Overwhelmed by manual administrative tasks.

The Goal

Create simple, practical platform to:

  1. Help patients remember medications, appointments, and access resources.

  2. Reduce paperwork for doctors so they can focus on patient care.

The Approach

I'm researching how tech can be implemented to help the patients as well as practicenors.
